Scramble Net at Dublin Adventure Weekend

In May the Extreme Team were invited to bring their Mobile High Ropes, Slack Lines & Scramble Net Challenge to first staging of the Dublin Adventure Show. This was a three day show designed to attract an Irish Public to have a taste of Adventure and it certainly did that.
Other than our own activities which were busy throughout the show there were demonstrations of Parkour, BMX Bike & Skate Boards Demonstrations which we have posted videos of on our Facebook page.
Also outside in the car park there was a huge Free Fall Simulator that had been brought over by a cracking French Bloke called ‘Mad Frank’. We took some videos of his antics which we have posted on Facebook. Members of public were invited to have a go and each was fitted with a safety harness so they could not be blown away into the Irish Sea. Not ‘Mad Frank’ though he would only perform the feat without a safety harness or ropes.

We kick off with some Squatters that took up squatting rights in one of our Extreme Adventure marquees during a typical British summers day.

On Saturday the Teams started their challenge with a route of around 18km completing all the challenges which face them along the hike.

Spider Mountain was one of the challenges along the route with each team having to complete a time trial by climbing to the top with the clock stopping when the last team member reaches the bottom. The challenge was not just about time but also team work. The Teams had the groups helped each other during the taks and were given points based on how they performed.

All the teams completed the Spider Mountain challenge and the 18km hike as well. Despite the cold it was a great day.

Guiness World Record Loudest Shout Attempt

On the final day of the CONFEX 2011 show at Earls Court last week, there was an attempt on the Guiness Book of Records “Loudest shout in the world”.

There was alot of competition for this event which was held at Confex at Earls Court. The “Loudest Shout in the World” record requires that the shout should be made by two people at a distance of 3 metres from a Decibel Metre. The current world record is 125 Decibals.

Two of the Extreme Team Rob Noonan and Pete Caine from Extreme Adventure had an attempt at the record and ended being officially the 4th loudest people in the world.

Extreme Adventure Team Supervisor James Thompson said ” we will try anything at Extreme Adventure and I am proud of my team’s fantastic attempt at a World Record and can be proud that they are officially the 4th Loudest people in the world !”

David Beckham meets Extreme Adventure's Spiderman

England’s greatest living english man met David Beckham “king of the free kick” at CONFEX held at Earls Court this week. Spiderman, who recently was accepted as a naturalised UK resident in regonition of dealing with growing UK crime discussed many issues with fellow English ambassador David Beckham.

Beck’s said afterwards “what a great bloke Spidy is, I was not sure how these Super Hero types are but he showed me a few tricks of his trade including some footy he taught Pele”

Giant Fluffy Polar Bear attacks Spider Man

Spiderman gets into more trouble at CONFEX when a great fluffy Polar Bear mistakenly thought Spidy had stolen his fish. Extreme Adventure’s Spiderman tried to explain to the Polar Bear, Mr Art Tick age 46, that he could not have stolen his fish as he only eats Kryptonite.

Police are following the theft of the fish with local Fish and Chip shops in the Earls Court area.

Extreme Adventure Spiderman said later ” I am pleased my name has been cleared, if I ate fish my Spidy hands would get greasy and I would not be able climb vertically on the Extreme Adventure Spider Man Climbing Wall.”

Police later released a statement saying that a vagrant penguin had been arrested in connection with this crime and would be given bail as long as 100 tonnes of Haddock as security.

80 year old woman attacks Spider Man

Extreme Adventure’s Spider Man has been involved in a few fights over the years all in aid of protection of the human race. Over the years Spidy has made many enemies as any good Super Hero would. This year whilst been guest on our stand at CONFEX Spiderman was physically attacked by an 80 year old woman.

Despite the pictures enclosed in this blog I am pleased to report Spiderman over came the evil foe but was slightly injured in the confrontation a slight scratch to his Index finger.

Extreme Adventure Stand at CONFEX 2011

Extreme Adventure showcased its ever-expanding range of mobile adventure and climbing activities for the first time at the CONFEX Show, Earls Court. The Cheshire-based company operates the UK’s only mobile high ropes course and a range of other adrenaline-filled experiences, and is a one-stop shop for event organisers looking for a new dimension for product promotions, experiential marketing activities, events and corporate entertainment anywhere in the UK.

In its first year Extreme Adventure’s unique mobile high ropes course attracted attention at a range of events including the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Silverstone. The company’s range of activities, which include water walkers, slack lines and Spider Mountain can be booked individually or grouped together in an ‘Extreme Adventure Zone’.
