The first week end of September saw the High Ropes travel to sunny Dorset for the weekend and Spider Mountain attend MOOT a scout weekend in Lancashire were despite rain everybody seem to have a good time.
The Spider Mountain was busy all day with 16 to 18 year olds signing up for the challenge a cracking day all round
The Extreme Team finished their tour of Eastern England with two days over the Bank Holiday weekend at the Eye County Show. The Red Arrows were there again. Are they following us ?
There were many attractions at the show other than our High Ropes course including Lawn Mower Racing and Chain Saw Carving

The last week of August saw the Extreme Team head to Clacton on Sea for the Clacton Air Show visited by over 100,000 visitors over its two days.
The Red Arrows were again on hand to give an amazing display of their Hawk Jets. They seem to be leaving a message in the sky. I think it reads “Thomo you owe me a fiver !! “

The third weekend of August saw the Extreme Team at the Shoreham Airshow in Worthing however our glorious english summer had come to an abrupt end. Dark threatening skies and a damp start to the morning. The weather unfortunately had an impact on the flying displays however the Spitfires managed to take off and enact a dog fight with a stray German Messerschmitt. The Spitfires won !!!

Mid August saw Extreme Adventure at the UK’s largest Ballo0n Festival which takes place at Ashton Court every year. The Festival marks 50 years since the ascent of the first modern Hot Air Balloon was developed in the USA. This years event saw a record 150 Hot Air Balloons take to the air which was then topped by a fantastic Firework Display.
The balloon makers, Cameron Balloons are near to the fiesta site, in Bedminster, and make many of the special shaped balloons, which have included Rupert the Bear, The Scottish Piper, Bertie Bassett, and the Tesco Trolley. Many shapes have also attended the fiesta from abroad, over the years a UFO and a beaver have travelled from the USA, a Kiwi Bird from New Zealand, and an upside down balloon from Holland.
Norjam invited Extreme Adventure to attend their 2010 Jamboree which was held during the first week of August with 5000 Scouts and Guides attending from all over the world. The countries that were represented the four corners of the earth from Italy, Canada, Nigeria to Russia just to name a few.
Extreme Adventure would like to thank all the 1200 Scouts and Guides that had a go at our course during our four days we were with you, displaying a great attitude towards our challenge, we thoroughly enjoyed this event.
Guider Jill Tinsey of 1st Dereham (St Nicholas) Guides challenged her Guides to renew their promises in unusual places even if they were places Jill would rather not be. Jill has a fear of heights but she managed to overcome them to oversee Guide Rhiannon Connor renew her promise at the top of one of our High Ropes Platforms.
Next to our Ropes Course was a full Flying Trapeze. It did not take long for our intrepid Instructors to persuade the Red Hands Flying Trapeze team to let them have a go. They climbed 40′ to reach the Flying Trapeze and were given instruction on how to leap into the unknown and perform repeated tumbles as they let go of the Trapeze Bar. Its not as easy as it looks, leaping off a 40′ platform with just a Trapeze Bar to hold onto. However the Extreme Team of James Thompson, Rob Noonan and Peter Craine showed their bravery and natural poise to complete the challenge to rapturous applause.
